What does a cry for help look like?
Poor performance at work?
Staying out of contact with friends and family?
Sudden quitting on the job?
Is it the homeless person on the street?
Or the girl sitting next to you with the vacant stare?
Or the man who can't sit still?
What does it look like?
What if you see it? What will you do?
What if you make one? Do you get through?
What does it look like?

Hmmm, that's a good question.
ReplyDeleteI've never made one but I have seen one. I tried to help but so far no dice.
Admitting you need help is often the first step to getting help.
ReplyDeleteOften the signs are there before it gets that far.
As-salaamu 'alaykum. Intriguing post. Verily, I agree with Safiya. I would need the individual to help me in order to help him/her. When someone's posture is poor, especially if their head bends downward, it is a sign of despair and need for assistance. Even if the individual is tired, we should do our part. Just a smile alone will uplight another. Show them that you care. :O)
ReplyDeleteGive us more than that.
ReplyDeleteAre you making one?
I've gone through long periods of making one. Eventually I pick myself up. Blah. What're you gonna do. Especially if you're afraid of being given a hand and then suddenly getting kicked in the butt, that happens too. This stuff is a bugger. I hope you're not out there alone making one and not being heard.
